Yin Yoga
Sunday, December 10 10am-noon
The practice of yin yoga is a sequence of long-held passive postures that nourish our body’s connective tissue. As postures are held sensations move deeper into the body and allow for profound release. The practice of yin can quiet the mind, heal injuries, and infuse the body with calm energy. Think slow, softening, deepening, melting…Poses are held anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes.
This two-hour practice will include a gentle warm-up, a full yin practice, and a long rest in savasana.
Restorative + Yoga Nidra
Next Session TBA
Restorative Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of practice. By using props to hold the body in quiet, passive postures you get a uniquely restful experience.
Yoga Nidra is a restful meditation performed lying down. In yoga nidra, you are guided to move your attention systematically through points of the body. As a result of quiet focus your awareness ultimately moves inward. Your mind, as well as your nervous system, gets a well-deserved rest. Often translated as yogic sleep this practice is deeply relaxing, and replenishing.
